We sat down with Amy Eiermann to ask the questions you'd want to ask yourself. Get to know the person behind the sign — we think you'll love what you find!
What brought you to the Valley?
I grew up on a 100-acre farm in Edinburg that had been passed down through generations, so the Shenandoah Valley has always been deeply rooted in who I am. I’ve traveled and lived in a few different places over the years, but this area has always drawn me back because of its beauty, history, and strong sense of community. After having our daughter, I realized even more how much I valued the slower pace, the scenery, and the relationships here. It’s such a special place to raise a family, and I love helping others discover what makes life in the Valley so meaningful.
How did you get into real estate?
Real estate felt like a natural combination of so many things I’ve always loved — homes, design, writing, and connecting with people. Before real estate, I worked in education, publishing, and other client-focused roles, all of which helped shape the way I communicate and guide people through important decisions. After years of guiding our own family’s renovations, home searches, and real estate decisions, I realized I wanted to turn that drive into a career. I love that real estate allows me to combine creativity, strategy, and relationships while helping people through such an important season of life.
What was your previous career?
Before real estate, I worked in education, publishing, and sales, with a background in English and creative writing. I’ve always been drawn to work that involves helping people, building relationships, and communicating clearly and effectively.
How has that prepared you for real estate?
Looking back, so many of those experiences naturally prepared me for real estate, almost as if all of those were experiences were guiding me here. From writing and organization, to quick problem-solving, and guiding people through important decisions.
What led you to Nest Realty, as opposed to another brokerage?
From the beginning, it felt like a place that truly values relationships, creativity, and doing things the right way. I also appreciate the mentorship and hands-on support they offer, especially as a newer agent. Nest’s focus on elevated technology, design, and personalized service aligned closely with the kind of experience I want to provide for my clients.
What is your favorite part of being an agent?
My favorite part of being an agent has been getting to truly know people and understanding what they really want for themselves and their family. I love walking through homes with clients, helping them think through the pros and cons, and guiding them toward a decision that genuinely feels right for their life and future. Buying or selling a home is such a personal experience, and I’ve loved being part of that process and hopefully making it feel less stressful, more exciting, and more meaningful.
What makes you different from other agents? What sets you apart?
What sets me apart is that I’m genuinely invested in helping my clients make the right decision for their life and future — not simply making a sale. I would always rather spend more time finding the right home than rushing someone into the wrong one. I’m also deeply committed to understanding contracts, negotiations, market strategy, and the financial side of real estate so I can guide my clients well and help them make confident, informed decisions. For me, real estate is about relationships, trust, and truly advocating for the people I work with.
What are five adjectives that describe you?:
Driven, caring, thoughtful, creative, and compassionate.
If you had one piece of advice for a first-time home buyer, what would it be?
Don’t focus only on what a home looks like today — think about how it will function for your life long-term. It’s important to look beyond cosmetic details and consider things like location, layout, major systems, resale value, and how the home will truly support your lifestyle and future goals.
What is your favorite season in the Shenandoah Valley?
Summer has always been my favorite season. I love the Fourth of July, swimming, being outside, and getting to enjoy everything the Shenandoah Valley has to offer, from the beautiful scenery to local events, outdoor activities, and time spent with family and friends.
